Red Bull will be among the partners of Melloblocco 2014. During the contest, the world-famous energy drink will be offering a special prize for the first climber who managers to climb five of the prize boulders: a trip for two to Bilbao for the sixth stage of the spectacular Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2014.
In addition, this year the granite of the Val Masino, the undisputed star of the Melloblocco event, will be symbolically joining the rock of far-off lands such as Patagonia and Baffin Island, thanks to the showing of two exclusive films. After taking part in the Trento Film Festival, the feature film “Cerro Torre – A Snowball’s Chance in Hell”, made by Red Bull Media House and dedicated to the adventure of the free-climber David Lama on the Compressor Route, will be coming to the world’s most popular bouldering meeting, where showing is scheduled for Thursday 1 May at 10.30 p.m. The following day it will be the turn of the film “At the End of the World – on Baffin Island”, introduced by the Red Bull athlete Stefan Glowacz, who will be telling the audience about his climbing experience “at the end of the world”.
This is the “mega air ticket” that will be presented to the winner of the Red Bull special prize at the award ceremony on Sunday 4 May starting at 4.00 p.m.
Regulations for the Red Bull special prize
