There are now 35,000 registered participants across the 19 editions, with an average of 2,315 participants per year over the last four editions (with an all-time high of 2,800 in 2017 and 2,600 in 2011 and 2016). Half of the participants are aged between 20 and 30, and 80% are aged between 20 and 40; women account for over 25.0% of participants, a figure that is steadily increasing and has remained stable at around 30.0% in recent editions. Foreigners account for more than 15.0% of entrants, with over 5,200 participants across the 19 editions representing 85 nations. The international presence at Melloblocco reflects a geography of European and global climbing that has taken shape edition after edition, with deep and loyal followings. Germans form the largest foreign contingent by far, with a cumulative total of 482 participants, followed by France (425), the United Kingdom (358), Spain (312), Switzerland (265), Austria (207), the Czech Republic (181), Russia (130), Slovenia (102), the Netherlands (96), Romania (88), the USA (89), Ukraine (83), Belgium (78) and Bulgaria (62).

Please note that 35,000 is the number of participants officially registered for the event, whilst tour operators and local authorities have estimated that around 140,000 people came to the Valley for this event, including tourists, trekkers, long-distance climbers and spectators.
